Monday, Wednesday, & Friday - 12noon to 1pm
Monday thru Friday evenings - 5:30pm to 6:15pm
Our Semper Fit program is a strength and conditioning class that helps prepare our members for overall better performance.
Many of our athletes that are involved in our conditioning program are martial artist, police officers, and military. This is not to say that it is not for someone who is looking to get into shape. The training is unique and nothing like a regular workout. In time our athletes go off to compete in 5Ks, 10Ks, marathons, and triathlons coming out in the top ten.
Our martial artist use the program to excel in their matches. The speed and agility is a huge part of their training which they may need for long term endurance.
We use two formats. TABATA & FIGHT GONE BAD.
TABATA- For 20 seconds, complete as many reps of a given exercise (sit ups, pull-ups, pushups, etc.) as possible. Then rest for 10 seconds and repeat this seven more times for a total of eight intervals.
FIGHT GONE BAD - It was designed to simulate the time domain of a mixed martial arts bout of five minutes of work followed by one minute of rest. It has been used in 3 and 5 round versions.
